Many people spend a lot of time watching cat videos on YouTube because we are very fascinated with them. As author suggests, you do not need to have the cutest cat on the planet to achieve viral video stardom--Your cat may be the sight for sore eyes, but it is all about generating views, as "Grumpy Cat" for example, who has a condition, but they still trotting those videos out there that bring ton of revenue to the owner.The book goes beyond just suggesting what scenarios are eyeball magnets. It shows how to manipulate search engine, keywords, tags, etc. It also explains how most viewers have a short attention span and that you must get their attention very quickly and positively. There is also a section on video editing as well for those who are beginners. Finally, the book gives you suggestions on how to share and make your video go viral and how to respond to haters and public in general if you and your cat achieve that stardom!This book has just over 100 pages, but it has a lot of pictures and illustrations, which make this book very easy to read and enjoy.
I've decided that it's time for Fluffy to start earning her keep. The good kibble ain't cheap, nor is the non-sketchy vet. Fluffy is certainly a consumer in this household; it's high time she became a producer. Thankfully opportunities abound on the internet. Cats make a fortune on the old tubes, and this guide is going to help us do it. This book helps the reader determine their cat's personality type. I think Fluffy falls somewhere between clown and lazy bum. Fluffy, or Contessa Fox, as she is now known, tends to get her butt stuck in the couch cushions, hence my personality assessment above. In addition to personality-typing, this guide also offers helpful suggestions for props and tricks, as well as advice on spamming, er, marketing, to Contessa's videos to all our friends. After reading this book I have a clear plan. Step 1: Cat Step 2: Step 3: $$$$
This book poses a very interesting question: when your grandchildren shyly inquire about their inheritance, will you be forced to admit that despite having both a cat and a computer, you were the only cretin in the known world who failed to cash in on this Golden Age of Cat Videos?It then proceeds to describe – with a good bit of humor and many photos – how to turn your adorable little money pit into a lucrative and irresistible pootie porn machine that will rake in the dollars for you. It describes ten general types of cats, and suggests ways to stage your little star to best show off his most notable characteristics. Unfortunately, I never got beyond this classification stage with my cat. He went from utterly bland to complete moron to bada$$ cat to clinically insane in the twitch of a whisker. Even a big hit of premium nip couldn’t put him in the mood to cooperate. We finally gave up and turned the camera off, at which point he turned in the cutest performance of his life.The book had me laughing on almost every page. If you have cats or wish you did, you should read this book. We had a lot of fun with it, despite the broken camera and lamp, and our scratches are healing – slowly.
I should give this zero stars because it busted up my family. My cat became an internet star after he read this. Then he got rich, bought a Maserati, and started running with Toonces, the driving cat. They go high on catnip one night and crashed doing 120 in a 45 speed zone. Fortunately they landed on their feet. However, he is still an insufferable, new money bore.
Admittedly, I am a super LOL cat fan, lover of funny cat videos, and think cat memes are hilarious. That is why this book appealed to me. I also thought about my dad who loves his cat so dearly and ridiculously, he would probably love to make him a celebrity if he could.Best thing about this book was by far the pictures. I did laugh out loud looking at them. My second favorite thing was the part about stage names. I thought that was pretty funny.However, when reading the actual content of the book, I found myself laughing rarely. Many of the jokes reminded me of those you find on America's Funniest Home Videos, and if you're like me, you would find them - well - not funny. Also, at chapter three, I started getting bored and found myself skimming rather than reading. I think this book went on far longer than necessary for a humor book about making your cat famous. And telling people how to use black hat SEO is probably not a good idea. Google doesn't like that.So honestly, unless you are a super duper uber die hard cat person, I don't know that I would recommend this book. Or, if you really want to know how to make your cat an internet celebrity, because, well, there is some actual advice in there, some of it kind of funny.There is always the pictures...
