This is a great reference of the major Supreme Court Cases. If you are looking for a specific court case this would be a great volume to have. It lists the cases and then gives the holdings on each case. It also lists after each case other relevent cases that corrospond to the case. This is not a book you would read through, it is just a reference for each Supreme Court case.

This is a great book to understand the main concepts of the cases. It gives you an overview of the case, its decision, and some relevant information and cases. This book made it easier to understand without having to read the entire case. I would have given it 5 stars if the book was better organized and easier to search for cases.

THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS BOOK IS THE ARRANGEMENT OF CASES INTO CATEGORIES AND THE DIFFICULTY FINDING A PARTICULAR CASE IN THE APPENDIX OR FOR THAT MATTER ANYWHERE. WOULD DEFINITELY SUGGEST A NEW BOOK WHICH PARALLELS THE C-SPAN MONDAY NIGHT SERIES ON LANDMARK CASES. YOU CAN PURCHASE THIS AT C-SPAN.ORG/LANDMARK CASES. MUCH EASIER TO READ AND TO FOLLOW/

The greatest read and reference book for social studies and government teachers.
