I always expect Vocal Selections to be abridged, but this is an extreme case! This book doesn't feature some of the most popular songs from the show (Giants in the Sky, I Know Things Now, Last Midnight, Moments In the Woods, On the Steps of the Palace, etc...). If you're just looking for a inexpensive keepsake from the show and want to dabble in the piano parts then this is perfect for you. If you're looking for something with more music from the show, splurge and get the Vocal Score. It is much more expensive, but that's the version you want if you're hardcore about your piano books.
Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals, so I might be a bit biased in my review. The sheets are easy o read, what you'd come to expect from Hal Leonard products. My only beef is that I was a bit disappointed in the song selections, but I purchased the book knowing exactly which selections were included. I would liked to have seen Hello Little Girl and A Very Nice Prince. I'll settle for PDF copies until I feel like purchasing the full score.
I love this musical, and this book had the song I needed in it. Worked out well for my needs.

I have loved all of these songs since I was a child. It is great to have my own copy now to play whenever I want.
