Mr Trout, these books are too short!! I know you're putting these books out that will eventually become chapters in one large book, and I will be buying it when it comes out, but I read them in one day. So the only issue I have, is the time between books! Other than that, this has been the best book I've read about the war in Vietnam!Thank you, Mr Trout, for your service and sharing your time in Vietnam...

I loved the series. I hope Michael Trout continues writing. I was there as a grunt and he nailed it. I always envied the aviators that hauled us around; however their life wasn't all roses. Buy it and read it!

As the story continues, so does Trout's excellence at carrying on his adventures flying helicopters in Vietnam. If this is the first time you're checking on one of his books I suggest you start with book one. This series is an excellent story that tells it like it was for those flying for the Jayhawks in Vietnam. There is nothing that needs to be said other than this book and the series of books hold everything your looking to read.

Book 9 is a little different from the other series , but still holds interest as related to r&r in country . It surely shows the desperation of the people of South Vietnam just trying to make a living and survive .

Very good. Perhaps a little stilted in the dialogue department. In the real world military any conversation is a little more colorful. A great look at the side of the war (?) we never saw on the 5:00 news. I can't say I'm fond of brevity of each book but I found the books after most had been published and can continue the story without having to wait for the next installment.

I am totally captivated by Mike's writing style. He attention to detail astounds me every time I read through one of his missions. I can hardly remember if I put the lid down on the toilet seat let alone remember things that happened 5 decades ago. Great writing style. You can almost feel the control of the helicopters being flown by Mike or his Peter Pilot.

This entire series was an Excellent read. Uncannily similar to my memories, and would bet that most who flew UH-1's in RVN would say the same. His description of flying and how things really worked---was spot on.

Well written, I finished the books and I feel like a good friend has dropped out of my life. Just combined the books.
