This line of books was recommended by the older sibling of our child's team mate. She is in high school and the No Fear Shakespeare books are being used to help teach Macbeth. I purchased this as a first step into the whole line. I love it. It does not diminish the beautiful poetry of Shakespeare's sonnets, but it enhances them by providing straight forward explanations in modern English on the facing page. I feel more able to absorb and appreciate these works now. We will be purchasing more of these wonderful books.

The no fear version exceeded all of my expectations. I never enjoyed Shakespeare because I was clearly ignorant. However, the no fear version makes it accessible to any reader, and hence, helps convey the beauty of the English language. I wish I had this book in school when I was taking English Lit!

I am somewhat embarrassed to say I was completely confounded at my first effort at Shakespeare Sonnets. I found this book to be completely essential. If one is an average person as I am, don't tackle these sonnets without and aid such as this. Thank You...

The sonnets are already very beautiful but when u can read them in plain english they are amazing!! Buy this book!!!!!!!!

one page torn out but it's fine, I'll be careful not to lose the page.Thank YOu!
