Yes, it looks beautiful, the typeface is stunning, the paper is excellent quality, but unless you are performing Carmen in German, do not buy this edition!! Go with Alkor or Schirmer! The German version is on the bottom in italics, but the strong typeface makes it rather annoying, even though the French is on top. (Even more annoying than in Britten scores). As pretty as it is, the music is stretched out way too much, making page turning even more annoying.

Carmen Vocal Score (Dover Vocal Scores) ...: I did not really need a score, because I am not studying the music. However, I could not follow the works that only included the libretto. With this, I see what parts of the libretto go with what parts of the music, and I can follow

This is the best edition of Carmen you can find. It's is big and heavy, though, but worth it. On of my friend, who is a world-class baritone (I prefer not to name him on a public review), suggested this edition to me. Paper quality is great, and the printing is top-class.

Says it has the vocal score to the opera =Carmen= and it does. I'm not able to check into whether it has every possible last note and word, but it seems quite adequate for my purposes. The pages of the book haven't yet fallen out, so the binding would appear to be reasonably adequate as well.

This edition is great in every way. It's not too big or small, it sits on the piano nicely when bent the right way, the print is clear, no musical mistakes as far as I can tell, and excellent for chorus members and Micaëlas ;)
