Complete with two CDs this is a good primer before [or rememberance after] "Carmen." The book tells you the entire story of this Opera.After seeing Carmen at the New York City Opera, I enjoy it again and again by listening to it and somethimes reading along with the Black Dog opera series of books with CDs.
I love the Black Dog Opera books--background information on the opera, full text and its English translation, the opera on CD. What's not to like?
