This book provides a great insight into the Kurdish region of Rojava. The selection of essays were great in order to get a richer picture of the region.This book is worth the money just to get the clear, concise explanation in the first chapter, let along the great insights from other groups affiliated with the Kurdish struggle for liberation from statist oppression.
A what's what and who's who of the Rojava region in Northern Syria. Everything from the constitution, the start of the Arab Spring in Syria, which helped the Kurds carve out the Kurdistan they were cheated out of in the 1900s Sykes-Picot deal. Excellent read for all who are interested in the Kurds and their fight for sovereignty.
An illuminating look at the Revolution currently taking place in the Kurdish territories of Iraq and Syria, as well as the history of the Kurds. An inspiring story, and a worthy read, regardless of your politics.
This is an important little book that describes, from the inside, the social and political revolution that is occurring in Rojava. A compilation of short essays from the ones who know....
