Till now, I had just a photocopy. So good to smell a real book, no e-book is worthy it.
You get what you pay for, which is the most affordable full score edition of this score your money can buy. The only part that would make it better is that, being a facsimile of an older score, the tenor line is still in C clef and not transcribed to modern notation.
While I was delighted to find such a beautiful and well constructed edition of this oratorio, I was disapointed to discouver that there was no piano realization of the orchestra. German is displayed as the primary text with Eniglish sown beneath.
I love the dover miniature scores because they give you an opportunity to enjoy the full musical, score reading/studying experience without emptying your bank account. The text at the beginning is a little on the small side, but not too small to read. The lay-flat binding is good if you are using this on a music stand or on a desk. Highly suggested to anyone who enjoys studying oratorios.
