the alfred masterwork complete piano sonatas are just the right level of playing for a somewhat advanced piano player. there is enough of a challenge to move a player along but it is easy enough to not take months to learn. as in the other two Haydn sonata books, the music is beautiful. in fact I think the sonatas in the third book are the most beautiful of them all.the only problem is that I goofed when I purchased the book because these types of books need to be spiral bound. i'm bending back the pages now to keep the book open while I'm playing. It's a little difficult because each sonata is multiple pages long. Either when the back breaks or I have time i'll take the book to a copy shop and have them separate it and put it in spiral.in my opinion all music books should be spiral bound.
