This is potentially a nice book for Harmonica beginners, which has 10 classical music pieces.It looks like a self-published work, and I found three problems with the it - all of which I think can be easily corrected by the author. I think these corrections will make the book tremendously more useful for beginners, and consequently improve the sales of this book.#1: The basic issue with this book is that there is *no writing* at all here. No introduction, no tips on playing, nothing but 10 sheets of music. The author's words are what adds real value to any book - especially ones on playing music, like this one. For example, in "Canon", there is a jump from +7 to +4. How about some tips for the beginner on how to do it?#2: The pieces are not sorted by difficulty. It's discouraging to start the book with a piece that has a lot of quarter notes and rest notes while there are much simpler pieces ahead.#3: No audio. These days, you expect audio content to accompany any music book - it's hard to play without any reference to check if what you are doing is correct. This need not be a massive project from the author's part. All they need to do is create a youtube video of a few minutes, which is all it will take to cover all 10 pieces. This will be immensely helpful for the reader.
This book contains some simple songs that I rember enjoying in the middle school orchestra. Ode to joy being one of my favorites. I can tell you that they sound great but they are simple enough for someone who is just learning notes to figure out.
The tabs are precise and helpful, easy for a beginner to learn, even if one doesn't know how to read sheet music. My only problem is that in the kindle ebook, the sheets are saved as images - the text/font is too small. It is impossible to play while reading the sheets in this unless one keeps the kindle impractically close to one's face while playing the harmonica.
A very nice set of music, perfectly printed. I'd appreciate a link to YouTube videos to listen to the music.
