I just sat for the second EA Exam and found that this book did not cover about 40% of the exam questions. I spent a lot of time studying the material in this book and could pass the questions at the end of the chapters and in the workbook with ease. It is a little frustrating to spend so much study time on material that is not covered by the exam and then face many questions that were not even mentioned in the book. I also went back to the book after the exam to search for answers and found that the coverage of the questions that were "covered" in the book was not adequate to provide me with an answer. Now I am going to the IRS website to find answers to those questions that are not covered by the book. I just hope that I passed the test (the results will not be out for two weeks).
I started with Part 3 and originally reviewed it as OK, but a little lacking and maybe not enough if you don't have experience.Now that I'm coming up on Part 1, I have to say it's terrible. When I started doing other practice exams, there is so much material that this book doesn't cover. The practice questions are also way too simplistic and don't prepare you to dissect the actual questions the way you need to. I'm now seriously questioning the validity of the prior reviews.You get what you pay for. Pay for a reputable course. Or you'll end up like me and end up paying for this book plus another course.
This is one of the best easy to read and understand books i have ever bought to help me prepare for an exam. The book is very informative on the things you need to know and understand to pass the EA exam. Thank you to all the author's for your hard work on putting this book together, very much appreciated by me.
Excellent guide to help you through each one of the topics to achieve the goal of being an EA. easy to use, easy to understand and work with your notebook, which confirms the reading and understanding of this guide. thanks for bringing to market this great guide as a tool.
I found everything easy but the second part on depreciation was difficult for me, I have always struggled with depreciation but work book help a lot. Recommended...
Use very simple language to explain complicated tax code, simple but really help!
Regurgitation of IRS publications, very dry. Would be nice if material was written in more reader friendly manner.
