First of all, the service by Polonius Sheet Music was superb! It came so quickly, neatly and securely packaged in perfect condition in only 4 days time over a weekend at that, so I was quite pleased. This is my first spiral bound score and I have to say I wish all operas came this way - it makes sitting at the piano studying a breeze and actually enjoyable. The score is a reprinting of the G. Schirmer edition, which I'm not a fan of because of the English versions, but there is plenty of room in this particular score for word-for-word translating. Something quite interesting is that the original stage directions are included giving the singer, pianist, or coach real insight into how to present the piece. If you're serious about this versimo masterpiece get this score ;)
Just started work on the Act I duet (Mario! Mario! Mario!) and have found an incorrectly notated dotted quarter-note. Little things like that make me wish I had spent a few more dollars on the Ricordi edition. My rating is higher than one star only because the price is low.
While it is not the highest quality printing the score is the exact edition that we needed.
