En sus correrías en Venezuela existen historias incógnitas. Antes de derrotar a Batista el tirano estuvo a punto de fracasar dos veces, pero logró sobrevivir gracias a la ayuda de Venezuela. Esta historia junto a otros temas inéditos de singular interes cobran vida gracias al cúmulo de información y testimonios que atesora el autor. Aquí se describen las peripecias de Fidel con Venezuela desde 1948 hasta su retirada forzada en 1967. Un segundo libro en preparación, enfocado sobre Hugo Chávez, narra lo ocurrido entre 1967 y el presente. La experiencia es útil, no solo para cubanos y venezolanos, sino para los hispanoamericanos y para el resto del mundo.

ABOUT THE SPANISH VERSION OF THIS BOOK [E-BOOk].I have read this book with great interest. Part of the information in it is−in great measure−new to me, even though I lived through the post-1959 period in Cuba and remained on the Island until 1982.I give this book high marks for content. I also appreciate the writer's candor and honesty.Why the 3 stars then?: Form.The book is very repetitive. It has plenty of spelling mistakes (missing accent marks and extra accent marks−the adverb “solo” as “sólo”−the Academy killed that some time ago).It also has phrases like "vio la escritura en la pared", a common English expression that means nothing to a Spanish reader (and there are two or three other examples of that). It seems like this book was written in English first and then translated into Spanish by someone not very competent.The Great Miranda did not go to Paris to participate in the French Revolution in 1971, I’m pretty sure of that.
