Piano Concerto No. 2 (Dover Miniature Music Scores)

One of the best-loved pianist-composers of our time, Serge Rachmaninoff (1873–1943) was the last great representative of Russian Romanticism. His music, like Tchaikovsky's, is often melancholy, with a particularly broad, rhapsodic sweep to its melodic line. With its memorable themes, lush harmonies, and captivating orchestration, the Second Piano Concerto won immediate acclaim, becoming Rachmaninoff's most enduring and popular work. The score of this world-famous concerto appears here with bar-numbered movements. Ideal for study in the classroom, at home, or in the concert hall, this affordable, high-quality, conveniently sized volume will be the edition of choice for music students and music lovers alike.

This is NOT a concerto. It is a folder printed on the inside, 2 pages of music in large print no less.. 2 pages of music is not a concerto, it's a rip off..I looked for something that told me how many pages it was, but couldn't find anything so took a chance. It's not worth sending back, but it was a waste of money because I will never even look at it.

Love the Rach 2, but his is simply two pages of music. I was expecting something a little more ...

when stated the music sheet is miniature they weren't kidding. i was expecting 8 1/2 x 11 but the booklet was quite small and useless to me because of the size. i can't recommend it to others.

This is exactly as described and just what I wanted. No one can do it better than Rachmaninoff. ..

Rachmaninoff is a must for an aspiring pianist. Especially, the second piano concerto which is one of his famous if not the most famous pieces. I would suggest going out and reading some background information on Rachmaninoff before trying to interpret the piece.
