Got it for my dad for his birthday. His first comment was that he didn't need it since he had watched every episode.But he started reading it, chuckling every few minutes. His friend came over and they both poured over the book. If Don Knotts is your hero or you like the idea of a soothing hometown where everyone is friends in a time that never existed- this book is pretty complete in outlining a tv show about that very thing. Good for fans and for people coming to the show for the first time.
Many books have been written about the show, but this book not only describes the show itself, but a lot of the behind the scenes and backgrounds in regard to the characters. Great book !
I have read 3 books on TAGS, and "Inside Mayberry" is my favorite. A very easy & fun read. You won't be dissapointed.
A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOW AND HOW IT WAS MADE. GREAT BUY FOR THE MONEY.
If you are a fan of all the people of Mayberry you will like this book for sure.
