I made a mistake of purchasing this particular version, mainly because of the $5.78 price.Upon receiving it, I was shocked by how tiny the book is, texts are hard to read, most of pictures are black and white. Due to the cheap price, I figured it's not worthwhile to return it.Please do you a favor and purchase the hard cover version.
No one told me how I would read this until the moon disappeared into daylight. No one warned me that I would learn things which didn't matter. No one mentioned how my head would hurt after reading all afternoon hunched on the couch learning facts so trivial, even the game show, "Jeopardy" doesn't care.But I cared. I was curious. I'm still curious.I can tell you who has the longest fingernails, all about the largest ball of twine, and whether Elvis or Paul McCartney sold more records. These things are important, you know.I've been reading this I was boy in the mid-1970s. The book is bigger, with more colors and pictures, with a modern layout, but the gist is the same: world records for everything.I fully recommend the "Guinness World Records 2015."Anthony Trendlanthonytrendl.com
I bought this year's Guinness Book of Records as a gift for my family. There seems to be a lot of new records and there really is something for everyone. The sections are well laid out and the great pictures certainly help to make kids interested. I highly recommend this as a great present for the family. For what it's worth, our other favorite stocking-stuffers are "Bop It! Smash" and "The Little Book of Indoor Golf Games". All make fun pressies!
My 7 year old nephew absolutely loved this book. He brought it to school to share with his classmates - and it was a huge hit with everyone. Highly recommend for curious kids!
I have given my son a Guinness book for Christmas each year for almost 20 years. Somehow, I forgot to give him the 2104 edition. I was thrilled to find it on so his collection would be complete.
Bought this as a birthday gift for my 10 yr. old grandson & he LOVED it! Beautifully done...
My 8 year old daughter cannot get enough of these books!!!! She has had this book for months and still reads in it every day. She loves to be able to answer trivia when strange questions come up. Perfect for the high ability child or for a child who you are trying to get interested in reading!!
We love this book, its so easy to get caught up in stats and statics about some of the crazy things people have done to make this book. Fun read, enjoy it with your family and who knows maybe one day you can find your name in there.
