Jennings has come up with a fun way to absorb over 8800 different blurbs of trivia. The book is in Almanac form and has a daily fact that reflects something related to that day. There are also trivia questions and many are ranked as "easy" "hard" and "yeah good luck". He has also included matching quizzes on just about any topic that you can think of.All in all, Jennings has put together an informative and absolutely entertaining book. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to know more!
My wife used this, among other sources, to prepare for her appearance on Jeopardy! Great entertainment even if you're not planning for Jeopardy!
Hands down this is the best trivia book that I have ever read. Ken always ask clever questions that aren't too hard and also not too easy. Plus, in terms of sheer volume, with nearly 9,000 high quality questions in a variety of formats. Strongly recommended.- AuthorAmerican Pub Trivia
I can never get my fill of trivia, and this book was a gem. There is a lot of interesting information, from a man who was very successful at this. Read to your heart's content.
This disappointed me personally because it is in the format of quizzes where you test your knowledge and then can check your answers. I probably did not read the description well, it was probably clear and I messed up. The vast majority of the questions I had no clue as to the answer. What I was looking for was a book that just contained bits of trivia. This book would probably be fun for somebody who already has good knowledge of trivia.
I got this for my dad for Father's day and he loved it, but I saw it on the clearance table at a big name book seller than I won't name (coughscmarnesandschmoblecough) a week later for less than half the price. Still, my dad loved it and it's a cool concept: learn a little bit of trivia every day and be ready to try out for the show the next time you have the opportunity!
I ordered this for a young man I know who is in jail. He loves all things jeopardy and told me this was an informative book for him. I'm sorry I can't give a full review from my perspective but I know this book was perfect for any trivia and Jeopardy fan
Great trivia organized by theme, including some puns, some clever categories, and some funny facts. I use this book to help me brainstorm for writing my own pub trivia, but these questions can be a little simplistic in their wording. Strange to call a book organized linearly and to a calendar "ingeniously organized" though.
