Goes without saying, this embroidery book is entirely in Spanish.It has detailed and very clearly explained steps to do from very basic to more ellaborate embroidery stitches.The wire-binding allows for the book to lay down flat when opened to any page.Color illustrations in every page allow for a clear visualisation of the stitches being explained.You also can read instructions on how to exhibit, store and care for your work. How to wash it.The table of content and index allow one to find whichever stitch is needed.Pages 36 to 141 cover stitches on cloth. Pages 148 to 200 are for embroidery canvas ('cañamazo'). Pages 204 to 239 has exercises (hi-relief, shadow stitch, etc) and how-TOs etc. Page 240 covers finishes (ironing, tensing, lining of the work's back). Pages 243 shows how to hang your work. Page 244 covers how to mount and frame.Overall this 'manual' is basic enough to help anyone getting started in embroidery as well as more advance practicioners looking to complement their skills by adding more advance stitches and techniques. Ms. Barnden did a great job with this book which makes it a great addition to to the embroidery craft literature. 5 stars all around!
