need pictures of the perpetrators. That's MY story and I'm sticking with it. The women chosen for this book are pretty interesting, although keeping up with the Who's Who of crime "families" can make my head hurt. Pictures. Remember.
I got this book out of curiosity after reading the trial pages and I got hooked. Joe Bruno has done some great research and he makes the back stories just as if not more interesting than the headlines that got these people in the news. After reading this one I went back and got the six-volume set. Great work.

I must say I was surprised by Joe Bruno's book. Ir wasn't what I was expecting. The back ground information that was gathered by Bruno was spot on. I would never have expected to give this book four stars, but felt it was deserved. When I ordered the book, I thought is was just going to be like all the others I've read concerning gangsters and criminals, but it wasn't. There was information that I never would have expected. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and other readers I know.
I am the proud owner of the entire Joe Bruno's "Mobsters, Gangs, Crooks, and other Creeps", collection. This book was my latest addition. As usual, I found it informative, to the point,and obviously, painstakenly researched. You thought you knew the story, but when you read this book it is just one surprise after another. Joe has dug up details that other authors have missed completely! Joe writes with a desire to inform and share information, never with a desire to impress. It's like having a cup of coffee with an old friend. Looking forward to the next one.
I love this book. I've learned so much more about these people. I love the fact that the author of this book took the time to investigate and give factual information rather than hear say or speculation. Thanks Joe, for once again out doing yourself.. Can't wait for your next masterpiece.
There is some really good information on this book; every one should be familiar with Bugsy Seagal and Virginia. This book does stall when it details the Rosenberg trials they were not mob Connected and shouldn't have been included
This is the fifth 'Mobsters' book I have read by Joe Bruno and it might be his best. I loved the articles on Ethel Rosenberg and Virginia Hill; two women who could not be more different in looks and in their personalities. Another hit for Joe Bruno!
