Denial: Holocaust History On Trial

In her acclaimed 1993 book Denying the Holocaust, Deborah Lipstadt called David Irving, a prolific writer of books on World War II, “one of the most dangerous spokespersons for Holocaust denial.” The following year, after Lipstadt’s book was published in the United Kingdom, Irving filed a libel suit against Lipstadt and her publisher. She prepared her defense with the help of a first-rate team of solicitors, historians, and experts, and a dramatic trial unfolded. Denial, previously published as History on Trial, is Lipstadt’s riveting, blow-by-blow account of this singular legal battle, which resulted in a formal denunciation of a Holocaust denier that crippled the movement for years to come. Lipstadt’s victory was proclaimed on the front page of major news-papers around the world, such as The Times (UK), which declared that ‘history has had its day in court and scored a crushing victory.’”

Where in this book is an account of the fraud of Rampton and Van Pelt trying to put one over on the court by presenting a 1980s report on a patent for a huge Topf cremation facility, as if it had been built and had been operating in Auschwitz during World War II? (It never was in operation).Where in this book is an account of Prof. Lipstadt labeling David Irving, “Amalek”? Amalek is a term from Judaic religious lore, which targets the person thus labeled, for extermination (irony of ironies).Prof. Lipstadt invented the “Holocaust-denier” stigma which, with ominous Orwellian conformity, the media almost immediately adopted and applied to smear and impoverish skeptics and heretics. The “Holocaust-denier” stigma brands any thinking individual who has any doubts about any aspect of the huge epoch in history grouped under the “Holocaust” nomenclature, as unworthy of a decent reputation or a good job. This witch-hunting function of her work is not a subject of interest - or protest - for her uncritical enthusiasts. Why?Deborah Lipstadt was silent and refused to testify throughout the libel trial, yet in this book she poses as a historian of the “Holocaust” debunking David Irving, who was indeed cross-examined by her multimillion-dollar defense team repeatedly. Someone who won’t take the witness stand where “History is on Trial” obviously has something to hide, i.e. ignorance and mendacity.Prof. Lipstadt has Hollywood and the Establishment media on her side; the truth is elsewhere. For a refutation of her theses cf. Germar Rudolf’s book, >Fail: Denying the Holocaust: How Deborah Lipstadt Botched Her Attempt to Demonstrate the Growing Assault on Truth and Memory,< which will be published Sept. 30, 2016.
