Aurelio Baldor was a very appreciated educator in Cuba before the Castro regimen. Several generations of Cubans and Latin America children and youngs have been trained using Mr. Baldor's textbooks. Aritmetica is a great adquisition for those who wants to master this discipline. It explains and exemplify every topic and also provides plenty of practice exercises with answers for review and verification. Mr. Baldor was also a succesful private school owner in Cuba before Castro.His schools enjoyed the preference of many parents due to the good teaching conducted there. He also wrote Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry textbooks with the same pedagogical characteristic. The book is in Spanish, the mother tongue of the author. For those that master Spanish, using Baldor's books for learning Mathematic is a blessing in the sky.

This book is an excellent source of aritmethic problems. It has a lot of exercices, which can be used to supplement the work kids do at school. I bought the book because I wanted to give my daughters work extra from school. The book has a lot of excercices to choose from. I need to translate the problems to my kids. Interesting book, it is appealing to kids who like books.

It is an excellent book. Each exercise prepares you for the next. At the end of a chapter, you master all facets of the subject. You may think it is "an old method", but you eventually dominate arithmetic as a pro.

This was my textbook for arithmetic in high school. Many chapters are useful and it is always nice to keep this book handy
