This approach to the opera is very customer oriented. The small hardback book contains two CDs with the entire Verdi opera La Traviata. This version is the one where Beverly Sills sings the lead role of Violetta and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Aldo Ceccato. Beverly Sills is outstanding in this role. The book is illusrated with photographs and paintings of Verdi as well as photographs of the various opera companies that have performed La Traviata in the past. The libretto is in Italian and English. The history of the opera is well written including connecting this opera to the novel Camille by Alexander Dumas. Overall this is a nice way to package an opera for customers who wish to be educated while enjoying the music.
