I have used this text in most all of my beginning Spanish Grammar classes and have been amazed with the results. The text is easy to understand, gives excellent examples and reinforces the verbs in an easy to understand manner. The usage of this book along with any text is critical for students who intends to master Spanish Grammar.

The Nassi-Levy Spanish First Year workbook gives students a great experience when they are new to the language. This workbook not only teaches using specific examples (including exceptions to rules) but it also gives students plenty of exercises so that the student can master the subject with relative ease. I am impressed. The book contains a whopping forty chapters, an appendix and a basic Spanish-English dictionary. Great! The printed font size is easy to read and the student can write their answers to the exercise questions right in the workbook--or on other pieces of paper if they wish to keep the textbook for future review or resale. There's so much covered in this book I scarcely know where to begin! Obviously, basic nouns, verbs and rules of grammar are immediately addressed; and then the book goes into the past tenses of verbs, pronouns, adjectives and prepositions. The book does a great job in particular presenting the past tenses to the student; these can be confusing to the student but this book makes it easier than it might have been using another textbook/workbook.I highly recommend this textbook for any beginning Spanish student and for teachers to seriously consider if they wish to teach Spanish using the more traditional method of mixing spoken Spanish with spoken English in class. Persons wanting to learn Spanish using the immersion method would do better to take a course that uses textbooks and workbooks called Gente (which means people in Spanish).Great job, Nassi-Levy! ¡Olé!

It has a little bit of everything! conjugation of verbs, preterit, reflexive verbs, irregular verbs, etc. It's an extra great book to have to put in practice all the Spanish grammar. I do tutor Spanish 3 for a HS students and it's great!

this is the assigned book for my first year of continuing education spanish; very good for bringing back all of the information that used to be at the front of my brain. some small errors in usage easily corrected by our professor.

This book is awesome. Their practices are very easy and it works well with Spanish Native Students.
