300 T'ang Poems book is a treasure and a wonderful companion volume to Red Pine's translation of Poems of the Masters.300 Tang Poems is a translation of the collection first published in China in the 1760's. It presents a broad representation of poets from the rich T'ang dynasty. I really love this book, as well as the volumes of poetry translated by Red Pine and published by Copper Canyon Press.My words can not truly reflect the depth of beauty within this book, and as I am not a reader or speaker of Chinese languages I am unable to comment on the accuracy etc of the translation. The language is beautiful and feels natural.To hold such a rich cultural treasure in your hands for next to no money, shows us how blessed we are to live in this time of deep personal scholarship and dedicated small publishing houses.
