Yemen describes the historical history of Yemen from its beginning to the many wars that was fought from within. The civil war and the conflicts from coups between north and south Yemen makes this book interesting. The key political personnel is covered and the actual move from isolation and the communist camp to the western side for this country with improving ties with the west. The book is a little dated and does not describe the current conflict in the country. Most interesting after reading is the amount of fighting in this country history. Easy read and enjoyable
