Investigating Murdoch Mysteries

Based on Maureen Jennings' award-winning novels, at the end of the Victorian era, Toronto-based police detective William Murdoch uses radical forensic techniques, including fingerprinting and trace evidence, to solve some of the city’s most gruesome murders. His unconventional approach often elicits skepticism from his colleagues, though he is usually supported by his boss Inspector Brackenreid, young Constable George Crabtree, and doctors/pathologists Emily Grace and Julia Ogden.  This companion looks at every aspect of all 8 seasons of the show, from the regular characters and their relationships, to the history of the period, including figures Murdoch encounters, the forensic and scientific advances he utilises, and Murdoch’s most notable cases. I LOVE the TV show Murdoch Mysteries so I was excited to see this book. The book is more "character" background, and follows through season 8. I was hoping for a little bit more "trivia" regarding the actors and things like filming locations. There is some trivia/background information regarding the actors, costumes, and Murdoch's "inventions" (props). But overall, I enjoyed the book. Lots of pictures.

For fans of the Murdoch Mysteries this is a must have book. It is not only filled with interesting photographs, but it has interesting information about the characters and their fictional lives. I have enjoyed reading it and looking at all of the photographs.

Great book to go along with the series. Love reading about the costumes and sets.

We are HUGE Murdoch fans and this book is excellent! I gave it to my husband for his birthday and he started reading right away. It gives interesting tidbits about the filming and actors

This is a wonderful companion for the show. The behind the scene information is great for fan understanding of what it takes to put the show together for us every week, every season

My wife will love getting this for Christmas.
