I must admit, I don't really use the bible but I do go to church and yes I pray. This book will help you develop a spiritual connection to God and Jesus Christ. It will also help you along the process of cultivating a consistent and inspiring way to read, understand and apply in your own life the Holy Bible.
Well, I have studied religions all of my life and to be real honest, I kind of stay away from the bible,,,,, I,guess kind of just because.. I am so happy that so many people get something,out of it. That is great.Personally,,I am a course in miracles fan. If you read through this book and you really want to connect with yourself and the universe, then the course in miracles is the way to go.Now this book does a good job about telling bible basics, what,to look out for, how to study, who to study with, what parts to study, Sure it is all here.Well worth the money charged.
My professor once told us that the acronym of the bible is Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. I could not agree more of what she said because truly the essential use of the book is mainly to guide people on how to live their lives to the fullest. It is stated there that people must adhere to the rules and regulations written in the scriptures to promote peace and harmony among men and to establish union amongst humanity.
For me it was previously difficult to remember anything from the Bible, as a lot of information, something that was not well understood. This guide has taught me how to to becoming more knowledgeable about the Bible. Now I really immerse myself in reading as much as possible, as happens union with with God's word. For me especially useful was the chapter "How to Make it Your Own Journey"
This book offers a great way to look at the bible if you are a christian hence my 5 star review. I have done my fair share of bible reading. I have read the entire thing cover to cover. While I don't personally recommend reading the bible, especially not to young children, I can see the cultural and religious significance it has had. If you are a christian this book is for you! If you read the bible from an atheistic or historical perspective this book is simply an interesting cultural way to examine scripture.
Feel the messages of God with this easy and understandable book of bible. You will learn easily the commandments and it's saying. It contain information that you will not regret after purchasing this ebook. The content is very helpful and useful that surely you will learn some lesson in each chapter. I would love to have this book in print -- in a booklet as much as possible. However, since shipping would be too expensive (I'm from a different country), my cellphone should suffice. This is really a good book for a person who wants to take Bible Studying seriously, BUT, even if you don't want to study the Bible, you can still benefit from this book. It has resources which you will benefit from, and "directories" for when you want to study per category. I also love the trivial things that the author mentioned (like the science-related things).Overall, this is an excellent book; as a Christian, I would love nothing more than to get to know Christ through his Words.
I found this book very informative. For some reason I have become interested in religion and other peoples beliefs. Personally I don't believe in God, so I can't agree with all the things in this book. But even though it was an interesting read, it was like the author and I had a discussion, I like that writing style. I believe in something though, I just don't call be beliefs by the name God. I like the thought of thinking of the Bible as “Food to the spirit”. Overall, if you are interested in the Bible you will get a lot of questions answered in this book. But the book is quite long, so please add a TOC so it's easier to jump right to the chapters in interest.
