This book was of interest to me as I am from Cuba and although I do not sympathize with the Castro regime and much less with Che Guevara, I do like to read what it is written to be aware of what stories are fed to the public who is not familiar with the Cubasituation. This is very good and I'd recommend.

When I started reading this book in english I thought that it appeared to be a poor translation since the author is a spaniard. I was curious about the topic and the new information that the author was claiming to have, so I decided to buy it in the spanish edition on Kindle. I read it all the way through in the original language. Guess what... it isn't just the translation, although that is a problem as well. It is very poorly written and wanders aimlessly through layers of fact, conjecture and just plain gossip. More importantly, the book is either poorly researched or just disorganized and confused. While it is true that the Bolivian campaign was ill-conceived and disastrously executed; and may have also served to get Guevara away from Cuba, where his revolutionary zeal might have been in the way of the Castro brothers. All of the conspiracy theories that abound in the book serve to discredit the author's scholarship. There are a few nuggets of information, but most of the book reads like a tele-novela. This author really needed a good editor to separate fact from fiction and organize his narrative.

i read 'el diario del che en bolivia' and other stories about this part of the america history. good to read other different reality. many times the history is distorsioned by the men. this book is a strong example about it. good book but some times i lost the trama, may be was my few reading times and long times without continue to read

Maravilloso relato, cuanta verdad relatada en este libro que en Cuba se desconoce, incluso muchas verdades tergiversado por el gobierno de Fidel Castro y que este libro saca a la luz pública, en verdad es un libro apasionante y muy creíble en toda su narración. Gracias Sr. Cerrato por duplicado gran aporte a la historia con este libro prodigioso.

La revolución cubana generó tal cantidad de mentiras y falsas esperanzas que a uno, criado en ese entorno, todavía le es dificil creer y mucho menos explicar. Amanacer en la Higuera es uno de los textos que han de leerse, para al menos intentar la tarea de dismitificar el mito y dejar al descubierto tanto engaño. Excelente libro, quizá a veces un poco desequilibrado en sus argumentos, pero aún así excelente, útil y recomendado.

Finally a book that tells the truth about one of the most cruel cowards of all times. Ernesto "Che" Guevara has been depicted by Hollywood as a righteous freedom fighter, who sought equality and justice; nothing is farther from the truth. He was an assassin who openly referred to blacks as genetically inferior to European whites. Congratulations to the writer!

Interesante,fácil de leer, datos personales admirables. Revela experiencias de la revolución cubana después del 1959 desconocidas por muchos. Si te interesa la historia de Cuba es un libro q debes leer.
