I bought this for research and I have read every poem. I was especially looking for poetry written in "dialect" and there were plenty in this collection. I liked the organization too, either by author, poem title, or place of origin. Plus, I love the cover with the lime slices...very cool and refreshing!

For those who are bilingual and live in the Caribbean, this book is for you. It deals with many subjects us Caribbean people deal with daily. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to get a better understanding of what the Caribbean is all about.

It offers a perspective that is not often expressed. The points of view reflected in this book are varied and appreciated.

Bought this book for a class I'm taking, but would buy it regardless. Very good collection from wide range of contributors, this text gives a good taste of the considerable influences this region has had upon contemporary literature, perhaps more so than any other region has done in the last twenty to thirty years. No complaints. I'm very satisfied.
