"Sound of Music" has always been my favorite movie, ever since I first saw it in the theater with my mom when I was two. I've often wished for a book of piano arrangements from Sound of Music that were more than just the basic tunes. This is it! I already love Phillip Keveren arrangements, having attended a piano teachers' workshop he gave locally. So when I saw that he had written a book of SoM arrangements, it went to the top of my Christmas list. I love these! They're a bit challenging without being Chopin-difficult -- I could sightread most although I would need to work on them a bit before performing them. All of the main songs are included, and even one ("An Ordinary Couple") from the stage play, but not the movie. Just love this book.
Nice arrangements. Mostly arpeggio chords. Only complaint: no lyrics. I would have liked the lyrics.
Phillip Keveren arranges beautifully for piano. These are late intermediate to early advanced arrangments.
