Don't listen to Jon Rambopni's review,......I bought and watched most instructional classical, rock and lead and shred instructional videos out the,....I have every Paul Gilbert one,...his are by far the best if you're at an intermediate or advanced level,.....If you don't believe me check out my vids on u tube licksandtricksdotcom ( one word ) I also have videos under Christopher J.Daly New Port Richey Guitar,...I teach and play out acoustic and in bands,...I can play and Paul Gilbert, Malmsteen, Satriani or E. Johnson,.....Paul Gilbert videos are the best if you want to learn to play over-the-top shred lead playing with the best of them.....The only thing he dosn't go over is sweep picking,...I learned that stuff off Frank Gamble's vid's,...another monster guitarist,.....I recommend ALL Paul Gilbert Videos and listening to the Racer X and Mr. Big CD's,....his first few solo CD's kick-ass also,....and the guy learned how to sing pretty damn good also.
great book
This book is TERRIBLE.Stay away from this one at all costs. The picture on the cover startled me when I opened the box. Paul Gilbert looks like a psycho.The content of the book is from some DVD he put out in the 80's. If you check it out on YouTube you'll see him trying to be funny while shredding. The entire project is just lame.There's better shred books out there. I traded this book in at my local guitar shop for $5.
