For those of us who don't transpose at sight as well as we used to, this book is very helpful.
This is just what I needed. Being an accompanist, I ALWAYS need different keys for the Ave Maria when I accompany soloists. Instead of having to painstakingly transpose or try to find the music in the right key, I now have just what I need. My opera friend will be so happy!
I didn't really need all these different arrangements but I found my favorite arrangement in this book and the others are great for practice.
A friend had this book and I wanted to get a copy for myself and a few of the other choir members. The price was right and I was pleased with what I got. It wasn't a problem, but a little strange that my credit card was charged for each individual book instead of the entire order combined. No matter. It had all the versions of the Ave Maria that I needed and in different music keys.
If you enjoy singing the Ave Marias, this is the book for you. It has beautiful arrangements for piano and organ.
Does this "Ave Maria" come with a cd with piano/organ/orchestra accompanyment? I would like to be albe to sing the vocal myself and play the recording of the accompaniment on cd.
Bought it for the Catholic Church I sing at, very useful. Should be bound so that it is more friendly for accompanists/organists.
Lovely arrangements and I loved my choices in voice part (the older I get, the lower my voice is). :)
