My little guy started getting very wiggly when I tried to read him books. These books are the solution. He gets to open the flaps and that keeps him engaged/interested. He is enjoying storytime again thanks to this series of books.
Our daughter LOVES this book. Some of the words to get a little babyish but considering it is baby book it makes sense. I just adjust the words according to how many times I've read her the book that day.
My son absolutely loves this book. We read it every night, he also loves "where is my belly button" from the same writer.The only negative thing from this book in particular is that the little hat flap is very easy to rip apart.
I have been buying this book since my daughter was 5 months old. It is fantastic and engaging. It has sparked my daughter's interest in reading. So much that, when presented with an option between high-tech toys and baby gadgets, she reaches for books every time. She is now 17 months old and is able to take better care when reading it. Hoping to buy one final copy that we will keep forever. Use your imagination, change the tone of your voice, and complement story telling with this fantastic pop-up book your kid will surely love.
This is one of my son's favorite books! I can tell I have a long road of book flap fixing ahead of me because this book gets a lot of use and at 8 months he already selects this book when given an array to choose from.
If your toddler likes to actively engage in the lifting its flaps, this book will not make it through the first read. Children at this developmental stage (14 months) are curious and touch, lift, open, close etc with excitement. My toddler without much force ripped one of the flaps quite easily. I wish these lift up books were made more sturdy to withstand these little readers' abilities... I do love the illustrations and the story...as does my toddler.
My 7 month baby loves this book! it has vibrant colors, it's interactive and also helps develop the cognitive area by learning some parts of their body and face.
