The selection is good but the format is a little crowded and I'm afraid that I greatly miss the introductory notes that were in a previous Alfred collection. The CD makes for a good buy but you'll find many of these pieces in Alfred's superior "Introduction to Chopin" which has a better format and excellant historical and performance notes.
This book has a print mistakes. Waltz in B minor , pg 23, measure No 14 , where is ritenuto should be notes B, #C, E, G. in a measure No 16 last note is #C, not D!!!

These are Chopin's original arrangements, so as an early learner you can play you own authentic unsimplified Chopin. I am loving it.
