I got this for my daughter because she was starting drop-off mother's day out. I got the Spanish book because we also speak Spanish at home and I like to have some books for her grandparents to read to her. What I really liked about "Spot va a la escuela" was that Spot's school day does not include nap time (half-day preschool does not have nap time). Also, at the beginning of the book, Spot is sad because he doesn't know the songs they sing but others welcome him. And, at the end, they show the family members coming to pick up the kids. My in-laws do the dropping off and picking up, so it not being "the parents" doing the pick-up was good for us, too. Highly recommend.p.s. If you don't actually know Spanish or it's been a long time, this book has some humdingers in it that you might have to look up and are even a little tricky to pronounce. Just a heads-up that you might want before reading it to a child.

Our 2y9m daughter loves Spot and when she showed interest in other languages, we got this for her. She likes this book - cute pictures and flaps and perfect for the little ones who go to preschool themselves.

I've taught Spanish at a summer camp for years and I have used this book every year. Children love Spot. The illustrations are lively and the pop-up pages captivate their attention. This is a great way to introduce some Spanish vocabulary!

Eric Hill wrote many children's books and made them even more interesting & appealing to kids with illustrations and fun 'lift the flap' inserts. Most of his books are in English but some were translated into Spanish and those are the ones that I bought for my daughter. As I'm English/Spanish bilingual, I encouraged and taught my daughter to read & speak Spanish. The Spot books in Spanish don't have any English subtitles which I prefer as it aids total foreign language immersion which makes fluency in a foreign language proficiency blossom and flourish. My daughter and friend's loved the Spot books I bought and read to them. I am very pleased with my purchase.

These Spanish books are great for teaching kids how to say some Spanish words. It is a great way to get them used to hearing how the language sounds and what some of the basic words mean.
