I purchased this last week and showed my cello teacher at my lesson today. She is very excited about it and so am I! There are some fantastic pieces in here, good combination of tenor, treble and bass clef pieces and nothing too challenging (I can;t see any pieces with more than 4 sharps or flats in the key signature). Plus it is always so much more interesting to play your own interpretation of a fairly well known piece! There are a few beautiful pieces from Saint-Saens, some Faure such as Elegy and Apres un Reve, as well as some lovely Debussy. Some of the other pieces I don;t know but am looking forward to playing.On a practical note - the printing is clear and the music nicely spaced and easy to read. Piano accompaniment is the same, well presented. Cello works would suit an intermediate player.
Most of the music is playable if you know up to fourth position. I do not play the entirety of the pieces and I just play the parts of the music within my ability. It is a wonderful book to own.
