Of course, any Clifford fan will be happy with this book, especially those toddlers. The story is nice, the translation into Spanish is good, and if you want your toddler to learn Spanish, this is a good little book to have in your library. However, I didn't like the illustrations. The cover depicts Clifford as we are used to seeing him, but the illustrations inside are of poorer quality, and seem to be early editions of what the characters look like now. Anyway, the toddler may not even notice, but I did.
Clifford was a hit on a recent mission trip to Guatemala. The children, who had no books of their own, loved it when I sit and tried reading it to them. Their teacher lived it because they were helping me read it in Spanish.
As an adult teaching myself Spanish, I purchased this book. I loved the story and the adorable illustrations/drawings which helped make it easy to learn/understand as I read. Definitely a fun read for everyone!
The translation falls on the better side of OK, often a problem with kids books moved from English to Spanish. The greatest downside to this is book that the paper is so thin, and the ink so saturating, that it looks really cheap.
It is a great book to introduce Spanish to your toddler.
