This book is obviously a crude scan of an out-of-print book without much time and effort spent to clean it up and make it useful on the Kindle. You can get a much better copy of Robert's Rules free from Project Gutenberg or one of many many other sites.

As someone else mentioned, make sure you know which version of Robert's Rules of Order you are getting. This review is for the 2010 reprint, ISBN 9781153743051 - all the other reviews seem to be for the 2000 revised edition, but they are appearing under this reprint and it is confusing. The pale yellow, 74-page (although really only 69 pages) is a scanned and reprinted version of the original. The format is ridiculous - everything is jammed together with no regard to headers, footers, sections, etc. Be warned that the original obviously was 168 pages, now smashed into 69 pages, and that table of content references refer to the original page numbers, not the scanned version (which means if you are looking for information on page 90, it is really on page 38, and so on). Format is hard to read, even harder to scan. I wish I had known and ordered the "real" Robert's Rules of Order for my library!

Don't waste your time on downloading the kindle version of this book. It is TERRIBLE. Even the table of contents is misplaced (it is in the back). It makes it difficult not only to read, but to search and find any specific issue. As another reviewer noted it has no page numbering to go with the pages listed in the TOC. I returned it after purchase. It is good to know that does return your purchase price without any hassel.

This Kindle version of Robert's Rules of Order lacks a copyright page and an edition page necessary to authenticate it as the authoritative version for use at a meeting. Until these issues are corrected, purchase is a waste. Each edition brings changes and no one wants to stand up to argue a point only to have someone else observe aloud that you haven't bothered reading the most recent edition which changed the rule governing your argument or point. Save your money until the most recent edition is formatted for Kindle.

I bought this to be a portable version for my Kindle. However, it is formated (Like all Kindle books, I guess) to be read from front to back - useless for a reference book. It needs to have an index that can be used as searchable links. Locate the section that you want to read, click on it and go there. Trying to do so is a three step process and it doesn't work very well.I guess that I am still comitted to carry my hard copy with me.

I wanted a Kindle version of Roberts Rules like the paperback I already have. The paperback outlines what happens when the chair resigns before the end of term. I could not find any language in this version. In fact it hardly mentions the office of VP. If anyone can suggest a version of Roberts Rules Kindle edition that corresponds with the paperback 11th edition, let me know

The substance of the book may be fine, but it is not suitable in a kindle format (which is how I had it delivered). The pagination is a mess, very difficult to navigate, and frankly a frustrating read as an electronic book. I was hoping I would be able to use it in meetings by quickly accessing it via my iPad. No chance of that.

While I hold the work itself in high regard, this edition is so poorly formatted as to render it unreadable. Among other issues, line wrapping is misaligned perhaps due to hard carraige returns.
