Good book. I thought this book had some very useful information and a very different style to some of the contract drafting books I've read. I was looking for a book for law school teaching purposes, so was glad to see the author discuss the subject from the point of view of planning a semester of course material, with a chapter a week for reading. I was surprised to find that from an ABA published book, since they are usually geared to practicing lawyers. But actually, even though I like it, I don't think I'll use it for my classes. I teach LL.M. students who, for the most part, already have some contract drafting experience, and it was hard for me to imagine that there was really enough for a semester in here. Some of the discussion I found a little too simple for my students, and I didn't like the exercises quite as much as those I've used in the past from other books, such as Scott Burnham's. However, I did like that she didn't shy away from theoretical discussion as well as practical, used Latin terms that civil law trained lawyers are familiar with for the canons of contract interpretation, and included a very useful glossary at the back. I mainly would have liked to have seen more practical exercises.
