I purchased and read several books on drones, and this was the only one I found useful. It explains the FAA laws and how you can get permission now to use drones for commercial purposes.

Mr Hogan has done an excellent job of explaining the basic concept of drones, how they are going to become an everyday part of our lives, and how their use is going to create a multi-billion dollar emerging market. Of course, as an attorney, Mr. Hogan's focus is on the regulatory and legal aspects of drone use, and his overview of the ever-changing process is well-done. I especially enjoyed his down-to-earth (no pun intended) style of writing and explaining somewhat difficult legal concepts in a clear and concise way. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in drones and especially anyone interested in the legal and regulatory issues. Well done, Mr. Hogan.

I met Steve at the 2015 AUVSI conference and had a great talk with him about the changing landscape of UAS regulation. After spending some time with him I was excited to read this book.This is very well written book. Steve does a great job of setting the stage of the current regulatory landscape along with the changes that are coming. The book is a very easy read and even though I had a good understanding going in was able to take a ton of information from it. I was expecting to make it through a few pages on my flight home but ended up reading the whole book on my flight.The book provides a clear path of the steps required to get a commercial UAS business up and running along with the challenges that you may encounter.

This is the book to read for anyone involved or hoping to become involved in the commercial AUS industry. The potential in this new and expanding field is immense, but you need to know the rules. Steve's book is a must for those who want to understand the issues and do things right. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Excellent analysis on a topic that will surely dominate legal thought in the coming years. Steve Hogan's passion for drone law places him at the forefront of this new topic as it continues to puzzle government, corporations, and private individuals alike. His complex, yet clear analysis, make this book an easy read for anyone interested in the emerging subject of drone law. I highly recommend giving it a read.
