An essential book for any pianist. Arrangements are easy enough to site read for the short holiday season. Very good selection of familiar, popular Christmas songs. Fun to play several songs in one sitting and still have more for several more sessions.
My son loves this book he got to learn one song this Christmas, I think next year he will be able to enjoy more.He is past beginner, but not intermediate. So I would say this book is intermediate level.
This is a good Christmas piano book to have. Many well known Christmas songs with piano, guitar chord and lyrics. Simple but I am happy I got it. I bought easy piano version for my students. And not intentionally, I also purchased organ version. Watch out when you purchase - there are a few versions out there!
I have used this book of Christmas songs for years. I have the original sheet music version for my self, and have purchased this easy piano version for students. The song selection is fantastic and the arrangements are simple enough to allow students to play many of them without spending weeks learning them. It's a must for any teacher who supplies music to their students!
All around, a good selection of Christmas songs to bang out on the piano! A good starter book of Christmas music. I use the arrangements that are in the book as a starting point for improvisation and embellishment.
My granddaughter is just starting to learn to play the piano and I thought this would be a great gift. She was able to play a Christmas song for the family and that made her very happy.
