I was offered a free copy of this book for a honest review, but this was not required as he is one of my favorite authors and I had already purchased a copy. Anyone who enjoys a good westren will enjoy his writing. I have read and enjoyed over 800 books and Roberts stories rank up there with William Johnstone, Louis LaMoure and many of the top writers!This is book three of a series of Marshall Remington and would be best enjoyed if starting with book one.
Marshal Remington has warrants to issue in the Nations. Along with 3 deputies and Black Maria, the jail wagon, they take off headlong into action caused by Tom Blue, a renegade Comanche, and Nate Luckless. At one point Remington has an opportunity to console a young girl who'd experienced the same trauma as his daughter. A bitter sweet moment. The use of Black Maria made for a clever ending.
Robert Vaughan calls on his experience in real life dangerous situations to develop realistic dangerous scenes in this fast action, enjoyable western. Ned Rimmington's venture into Indian territory to capture some renegades displays his faith that not all those of other races are bad or dangerous. A fun, exciting and riveting western worth reading. I offer this honest review interchange for the free copy I received.
