I have wanted this book for many years and now I have it. I know there is a lot more book that are long on there subject matter but I am pleased with it. I can use it to give talks about the planes at the Air Museum at VA Beach VA.
"USN/USMC OVER KOREA" presents a concise description of Navy and Marine air operations over Korea from the beginning in June 1950 to the end of the fighting in July 1953. An excellent collection of photographs and some personal reports augment the description to provide a cohesive story of the role of Naval Aviation in the war, with coverage of the Navy's carrier operations and the Marine carrier and land based operations that is often limited in other published documents on the Korean air war. Some excepional drawings provide striking colored views of the aircraft and paint scemes. This is a document that everyone with an interest in the substantial role that Naval Aviation played in the Korean action should have.
